In an alternate universe, people wouldn’t have to ask what’s wrong because they would already know the answer. Empathy would be the most normal thing in the world and one wouldn’t have to cry secret tears. People wouldn’t be afraid to say how they’re feeling because other people would understand. People wouldn’t minimise the hurts and goings-on. Hurting another would be unimaginable. There is no Chaser or Chased, only the Together Because They Met Halfway. In that universe, people wouldn’t spend three-quarters of their life waiting, because when s/he wants to call, they would call, and if s/he needs to be next to you, they would come running, and if s/he loves you, it would come bursting out of them (Bukowski). And, of course, you would do the same.
